Upcoming hysterectomy 4/21: Exactly what is swelly belly?

I had my surgery 3/2/15 and still have swelly belly. But, my Fibroid was the size of a basketball and I've lost 10 pounds since surgery, so my belly even swollen is considerably smaller than before. I'll take it! LOL

Thank you CC Equestrian but I guess I have to eat some crow here. I was not lying when I said I had no swelly belly but this morning when I got up... There it was! The worse part was that it looked like I had 2 waistlines because of the way it swelled! I put on one of my favorite shirts and I wanted to cry because it looked horrible.I also had new pains popping up in my abdomen, thighs, back and esp my bladder sling area all day today and I was so tired that I had to take a nap. This is the beginning of week 3 for Pete's sake and I have no idea what just happened.

Wow TXLady... that's incredible, the size of your fibroid. You must be Thrilled to have that out. I know I would be!

Nervous 56, I'm so sorry you got a bunch of swelling! It probably feels like you've been recuperating for such a long time, but you are only 3 weeks in. I would follow what your body is telling you & rest, rest, rest with regular walks. I hope your swelling dissipates as quickly as it started!

So had my surgery and at first the swelly belly just about matched my pre-op enlarged uterus belly. But it's been a few days and I'm taking Advil for pain which is also an antinflammatory, so my belly, though still a bit swelly, is definitely smaller than pre-op now. Yay!
