Re: Vitamin d very low

Yes I was told I had low vitamin D about 2 years ago. I began taking 2000 I.u. And when they checked my level last time it was back in the normal range. I just have to remember to take my supplement daily.

Re: Vitamin d very low

My vitamin D bottoms out every winter. I now take a daily supplement and it stays in the normal range. This had happened for several years. I feel much better when my D is in range.

Re: Vitamin d very low

I have had low D for a couple years and take supplements. I am at 2000 IU per day. I also take iron, so am eager to find out when I can re-test adn maybe drop the iron, since no more periods!

Re: Vitamin d very low

I had to wait 3 months for my retest. That is when they found that my D dropped to 9. Now have to wait 2 months to check the d to make sure it is coming up. I love the fact I don't have to carry change of cloths and pads and tampons everywhere I go. Hope you get better soon

Re: Vitamin d very low

Can you get outside for 15-30 minutes a day? Your body needs sunlight to produce and synthesize vitamin D. I live in Florida and used a sunlamp while living in the cloudy northeast for a year. You'll be amazed at how different you feel if you make outside time a priority. Even on cloudy/cold days!
