TAH: TAH on 11th June and symptoms worse than ever!!

Have pre op bloods on 7th June and worried that my white cell count will be raised due to upset tummy?? Very stressed out, so probably not helping! Whole abdomen feeling very fragile (very large calcified fibroid) and IBS playing havoc. Feeling very anxious about op on 11th. I don't suppose this is unusual??

No, it is not unusual to have extreme nerves and fears before this surgery. The pre-op visit just hammers it home and makes it very real. I remember my pre-op visit, and thinking "Wow, this is really going to happen, isn't it." I don't know if your white count would raise high enough due to an upset, nervous tummy to cancel your surgery. It will probably be okay.

But, do your best to relax... I know it is hard. Try to keep busy to take your mind off things. Pop in a favorite movie. Or have a special treat.
