Re: Not sleeping!

I don't know about the 30 minute thing. Perhaps the meds? But here I am in the middle of the night responding. I can't sleep either. I usually wake up about this time because my meds have worn off. I can't sleep because I am in pain, so I get up for an hour or so. I am also taking lots of naps during the day, so that doesn't help my night time schedule either, I am sure. But here is to us night owls

Re: Not sleeping!

Good morning night owls,

I have been awake for over an hour, too. For whatever reason, it seems like insomnia is not uncommon after this surgery and during recovery. My Doc stressed at my follow up the other day that naps are good at this stage to help the healing process. Hopefully we can all get a good night's sleep soon! :-)

Re: Not sleeping!

I slept 5 hours straight night before last but was up every 2 to 3 hours again last night. I still have one ovary but have started having night sweats this week. I will try napping today.

Re: Not sleeping!

I'm having the same issue. I sleep whenever I can, but it's usually in the daytime. I'm supposed to return to work after next week, but may ask for a few more weeks off due to sleeping and stamina issues. In the beginning, if I couldn't sleep, it was because of pain, so take a pain pill when you feel like you can't relax. It will calm your brain and body.
