I am so confused.....

not sure what to do. My doc says he is going to try to save my left ovary.....but I have heard so many stories of women who have problems because of their ovary being left behind....

Is it better to have it all taken out? Am I only going to have problems in the future because of it being left?

Ovaries

I guess there is no certain answer about what will happen in the future, but I will offer my opinion. I think any time that you can avoid taking another man made product it is worth a try. Please remember that our hormones do a lot for us, and the ones produced by your body are tailor made by you. If you have awhile before natural menopause then I would keep the ovary and try to avoid HRT. If you do decide to have it removed please look at the Hormone Jungle for information on HRT. HRT can take some time to get the right combination that works for you. Best of luck with your decision, but I vote for keeping it!
