LSHers How was your first time?

I'm 3 weeks from my big day, but I was wondering how was it the first time for those of you that had the LSH procedure?

LSHers How was your first time?

Great question? Now we just need an answer. I think we LSHers are fewer in number than the others - so hopefully one of our 'sisters' will step up and have an answer for us. I am 2 weeks out myself and a little nervous to say the least about letting DH test out the new playground.

LSHers How was your first time?

Hi DK588,

I had a LSH and my DH and I did the ~love dept.~ for the 1st time at 7 weeks post-op. It went great in my case. First thing I noticed was NO pressure from fibroids. I can be honest and say I was -thinking- I might hurt something. And I didn't. It really felt good to be initmate without pain.

I am 2 yrs. post-op now and the ~love dept.~ with my DH is still going strong.

Best wishes,

Mary

LSHers How was your first time?

I had my LSH on May 9th and when the question about when we could 'have sex' came up at my 2 week post-op the doctor said, "he can, but you can't" -
We didn't get the green light until 6 weeks - my dh thought we could make up for lost time, but I had to ease back into it slowly - needless to say, he was very disappointed. I will say that the first few times were a bit uncomfortable, and I was worried that it was going to stay that way. I believe that nerves played a part too. I'm happy to report that things are good in the love department, once again. I agree with historylady, it feels good to be intimate without the pain, and it's worth the wait!!!

Hi ladies, I had laproscopic hysterectomy on June 20

I will tell you that me and dh had the go ahead for this past weekend and it was great, no pain. Still able to achieve orgasm. I was so worried that I would be in pain and it wouldnt be enjoyable but it was all good. Only thing I suggest is using lots of lubricate the first time.
I hope all of you have the same positive experience

LSHers How was your first time?

I got the green light from the Doc at my post op at two weeks out. We gave it a try 2 days later, not successful. A little pain from the incisions, a little nervousness on both our parts, and a visiting grown-up DD in the other room, it was too hot, blah blah blah. DD is gone now, I'm a bit sad about her leaving (she's pg, my first grandbaby, and I won't be able to go for the birth) so not "in the mood", but maybe in a couple of days we'll try again.

WOW!! You were given the green light at 2 weeks? My doc won't give me the green light until my 6 week checkup. I can't wait. Today is hubby's birthday, but there will be no "celebration" here tonight. He's a very patient and loving man and has said that he'd wait longer than the 6 weeks if necessary.
