Swelly Belly Band- any good?

I am scheduled for a supracervical hysterectomy on June 6th. I have visitied the store website and am interested in purchasing a swelly belly band. Has anyone purchased one and is it helpful in the recovery period?

I just bought the swelly belly band, got it last week. I don't know if it would have helped sooner or not-- I am already at 8 weeks, but since I'm up and doing more, I seem to swell. The first 4 weeks or so, I could not stand much of anything on my belly!! It's just like a big ice pack that straps around your belly--it contains this gel-like stuff that swells & gets cold when you soak it in water. Then you wrap it around your swelly-belly I've been keeping mine in the freezer to get it really cold. I honestly don't know how much it has been helping, but I guess it doesn't hurt either! It really doesn't give much support though. Hope this info helps! zanylynn
