Can you have swelly belly with TVH?

I had TVH on Tuesday and my belly is so swollen. Thanks for any help!!

I think so, I was really swollen at hospital. I am four weeks and sometimes I feel like I swell during the day.

Hi Tonya,

Even though the methods can be different, every hyst involves the removal of the uterus with lots of internal stitches. It is the internal work that causes the swelling. Take it easy, and don't overdo things, because that can make it worse.

and my belly is swollen also. I am especially swollen around on of my small incisions. I feel very "bloated", especially by the end of the day.

I would think with the trauma, regardless of wether you had an incision on the outside, there would be some swelling.

I had my TVH on 7/26 and I definitely have the swelly belly. Seems to be worse in the evening, but I feel it all day. Constipation makes it worse. Weird thing is... I almost feel the same now as I did before my surgery - I felt a bit distended to begin with. Trying not to overdo but I'm bored to tears!

Yep. I've got it too. I look about 5 months pregnant actually. Yikes!

i am 10 weeks out and still have swelly belly, if i over do during the day i can really tell because by the evening i look 8 months prego
