Why is my abdomen hurting now - 4 weeks post op?

For some reason, my abdomen has started hurting this week. I am trying to decide if it's just my body healing further or something else. I'm not doing anything I'm not supposed to be doing (I did bend down to get a casserole dish out last night and it hurt for a while after that so won't do that again) that I know of so why am I hurting now? It's not so bad I have to take anything for it, but it's definitely letting me know it exists.

You and I have the same hyster date! I had a TAH, though. You may not have seen some of my other posts, but I have been having pains in my lower abdomen this week. Sometimes it is hard to walk. Feels like a bad cramp. Always the same place.

My doctor feels it is normal and wants to wait it out a bit. She said something about the end of my incision, they "bundle" stuff up and it can be really tender.

I would call your Dr. just to get some feedback.

I really thought I was going to have a great recovery, but I this past week and half, I am struggling a bit. (Although not nearly as bad as some of the other girls on this site.)

I feel like I'm struggling a bit as well in the last week and a half compared to the first 2 weeks. Guess that's why they have me off work for 6 weeks. I go to the gyn doctor on Tuesday for my 6 week check up (it will only be 5 weeks, but that's what was scheduled before they changed my surgery date so we left my post op appointment the same). It always seems to happen by the time evening comes around, but I don't think it's swelly belly (hard to tell because I carry my weight in my belly any way). Guess I'll know in two days. Hang in there. We'll get through this!

Same here 4 weeks post op and belly feels rather tender and swollen, but still feel great in myself ,spoke to doctor a few days ago and he assures me everything is ok, its just that they move some organs around when doing a TAH and everthing is just coming back into place...check with your own GP of course though as everyone is different

My 6 week appt. isn't until Feb 25th as my Dr. has vacation between now and then. Let us know how your appt. goes on Tuesday! Hope all is healing great! Yes, we will get through this... no going back, that's for sure!
