Feeling not quite right.

Hi
Im starting my third post op week. My surgery was done with the Davinci and I kept my ovaries. Had my 2 week post op on Friday. I learned my surgery was a lot more extensive than I knew. Adhesions, a ton of endometriosis and a uterous the size of a 16 week pregnancy. Life before with all that was aweful. I have different kinds of pain, all normal according to the Dr. The pain has gotten much better but I just don't "feel" like myself. Its hard to explain. I think im a little depressed. I am not used to being home from work and I dont like it. I thought I could go back to work but dr says no due to the extensivness of the surgery. Does anyone else feel not quite right????

Re: Feeling not quite right.

I didnt start to feel like myself until today. This is day 23 for me. Give yourself some time to heal. This was a tough surgery. You will start to feel like yourself soon. As far as work I completely understand. I thought I would heal super quickly and be back in the office in 3 weeks. Mr. Dr. is making me take the full 6 weeks. Thank God because I am totally not ready.

Hang in there. You will start to feel better soon. Take this time to catch up on movies, books and some much needed sleep.

Re: Feeling not quite right.

I'm at my abdom hyst post op 3 week mark tomorrow and totally understand how you feel. Some days are wonderful and some days I can't keep my eyes open. I don't feel like myself yet either. i've also been told it'll just take some time. Hope you feel better soon.
