Coughing - Ouch! and a lil' gripe

So I'm 3 mos post op. And coughing is causing me a lot of pain. I cough and I feel like something is trying to 'push out'. I try to make them little coughs but once I get started there's no stopping. And I'm having pain where the tiny incisions were when they did the T-Sling. I'm trying not to worry...I guess my worst fear is that I'm going to tear what they did and down will fall the bladder again. I know I'm still in the healing process. Going to see doc. On thursday. Now, my gripe is this. My doctors put me on a work restriction of half days. That restriction will be lifted on Thursday. I'm in a salaried position, anyway, the boss took me in his office this morning and told me that I was still on some part of the FMLA and that until I'm released to work full days that they were going to cut my pay. Now I don't understand how they can do that. One I'm salaried, two I've been working everyday, no day off because the 'boss' told me that until I was cleared for full days I had to come in every single day. Does anyone know about the labor law? Because this just doesn't seem right/fair. Thanks for listening.

Hi RKM....
Sorry I do not know the labor laws. I think your local Dept of labor can assist you with that.

When you have to cough, grab a pillow and hold it tight over your tummy sort of pressing in on your tummy with the pillow. I use a feather pillow and it is wonderful!

Yes, you definitely need to check with someone knowledgeable in FMLA...the sooner the better!

Coughing and sneezing are major ow's... I usally press on my tummy and bend over a little when I feel one coming..
