worry wort again

Hi girls....Found out today that my pre-op is May 15, and my surgery will probably be mid-June. GREAT!!!2 months to worry. Thanks for all the support so far. It's helped a lot. I've also decided to just have my husband with me for the three days, and then stay alone after that. I'll have my friend down the street check on me after that until my husband gets home from work. Well, gonna go find a book to read to help me through also. You girls that have replied have been a great help. Thanks again!!!

Hi Rachel...

Hey, don't think of it as 2 months to worry. Think of it as 2 months to get prepared to have a nice summer to recover!!!

It's a long time to wait, but it will pass. You'll have plenty of time to clean your house, freeze your food, stockpile books and cds...

I had a long wait, too; sometimes it felt like it was going fast, and sometimes it dragged! Just keeping posting and we'll help you pass the time!

Rachel, I scheduled my December 14th hyst at the end of September. That gave me 13 weeks to wait!!!

Thankfully, I found this site the day before my doctor's appointment and I registered that night

The long wait meant that I saw a whole of LIW join the board, schedule their surgery and move on to the Post-Op board way before I had my surgery. However, it also meant that I had all this time to soak the information, to prepare for my hyst and to ensure that my recovery room was ready.

I used that time to read the boards, the pull-down menus, the Princess Stories and the Princess Bed-time Stories.

By the time I headed to the castle I was surprisingly calm. I knew that this was the best thing for (that last monster period sure helped put my mind to rest on that one ) and I had somewhat realistic views of what to expect.

Good luck and looking forward to getting to know you real well

Please post back and let us know how you are doing and if you have any questions. There is alot of valuable information on this site!

My best to you,
Lola
