Upcoming hysterectomy for fibroid

I have a 18 cm fibroid that causes extreme pain to my right leg and hip, Dreading the hysterectomy but cant wait for relief.

I have had hip, leg, knee and tailbone pain. Had hysterectomy on the 22nd. My pain would occur right around the time of my cycle. So far no pain to any of those areas. Will keep you updated as my recovery continues.

Im not looking forward to the surgery, but i want my life back!!! Im glad your living pain free!

Your mix of emotions is normal - this is one tough surgery to digest and process, even if it is going to take away extreme pain. You are not alone in this.

For me, the anticipation of the surgery was the worst part of this whole thing. I had a TAH for a 7.5lb fibroid and let me tell you hun; this surgery is going to change your life for the better. Sure the recovery is a pain in the butt (literally), but for me it was so worth it. That alien thing is gone from body, I've lost 20lbs and best of all - NO MORE PERIOD!!

Make sure you do everything the doctor tells you.
