1 week post-op

One week post-op from a partial laparoscopic hysterectomy and doing great. The incisions are fine and I have some bowel pain when gas passes through my system but not enough to be debilitating. My uterus was so enlarged it was about the size of a 20 week pregnancy and the surgery took 5 1/2 hours to remove it. If you can do your surgery laparoscopically, that is the way to go. I had 3 opinions and finally found a surgeon I was so comfortable with really wanted me to have a good and quick recovery and he was able to get it all out with the laparoscope. I am very happy with my recovery.
