22mths post-op and still problems..anyone else???

I am 22mths post-op and am still in severe pain everyday. I take tylenol 3 everynight before bed so I can sleep. I have been doing this for 22mths. I have been checked for everything and had every test done to me and they couldn't find a reason for my pain. Since my partial hysterectomy I had been diagnosed with IBS so I am also on meds for that. They thought my pain was due to my ibs but it isn't .
I just saw my 3rd specialist the other week and they are going to go back into my tummy to see what's up. They think that my left ovary may be incased in scar tissue and not able to release an egg there for causing me pain all the time.
Still no answer as to why my incision keeps opening. There i no drainage or bleeding but it opens every once and awhile.
I have 5 yr old twins and am not able to run around and play with them or go for walks with them as it causes me pain.
Iam in constant pain all day everyday. On a scale of 1-10 , 1 being no pain and 10 being extreme pain. I am proabably at a 7.5-8 everyday now for 22mths.

Does anyone out there have the same problem?

I just want this pain to go away so I can get my life back and play wth my kids.

Sorry to blab on but I fel only you ladies can understand.
Thanks again ladies in advance.

Hi, I am so sorry you are going through all that and with twins, wow. During my surgery they found diverticulitis, have you been checked for that??? It is very painful, if you eat the wrong foods...just an idea...Good luck to you!

Oh, my.... You have so much going on right now.

I hope your doctors can give you some good, targeted answers and help very, very soon. When you find out, please make sure you let us know what's happening and what your treatment plan will be.

I can only imagine how it feels to have a still-open incision at 22 months post-op. That must be terribly uncomfortable... Do they have you on antibiotics periodically, too? If so, that must be very hard on your system.

Have you been referred to a wound-care specialist at all? Maybe someone like that could help shed some light on why your incision is so resistant to closing properly.

It must be so very hard to deal with the twins when you're feeling so bad. I hope you have at least some help with them. That is such an active age -- I remember when my kids were 5 and if I could have harnessed their energy I could have skipped paying a couple of electric bills every year.

You might also ask if you should be in some sort of pain management for the day-to-day pain you're experiencing right now. Obviously, until they find some answers, the pain won't be abating... there are some pretty good pain control systems out there which might be able to give you some relief.

All my best to you. Please be very gentle with yourself and as I said before, I hope you have some answers soonest.

Thank You everyone for your well wishs.
I have a wonderful Husband who helps alot. He helps with alot around the house.
I will keep everyone up to date with my results in a few weeks.

I thought I would be nice and shovel the snow for my husband but now I am paying for it. My Husband was not happy when he got home and saw what I did.
