Swelly belly return after 5 months???

All of a sudden I have Swelly belly again. I am now 5 months post op. Do you know if it can start up again after you haven't had it for a while

Hi flipflops2, any chance you have been doing alot more? Any lifting, lots and lots of bending, stretching etc. If you can't think of any particular reason that might explain it, i would have a chat to your Dr. I had a mean case of food poisoning at 7 months post-op and that caused swelly belly to return for a while. Seems any undue stress on our abdomens can trigger it.

I did experience one return of swelly belly at about 4 months, but I really, really overdid it. I knew better even when I was doing it, but I wasn't surprised when my belly was swollen for a couple days. I don't recommend anyone move furniture at 4 months. Remember it can take up to a year to completely heal a hysterectomy. Hope it resolves soon, if not, call the doc.

I'm just about a week ahead of you and I'm having this issue too! My belly looks like I'm about to give birth. I've checked almost daily and haven't gained a pound. As a matter of fact I've lost a few. It's bizarre.

Thanks you guys. I can't think of anything out of the normal. I have been walking a lot but have for the last 6 weeks (my dog had surgery and her PT is lots of walking) I kinda been doing a little yoga but I haven't had problems for severals weeks. Just caught me off guard. I know it takes a year to heal but I'm not patient and all my friends think I should be back to normal.
