I've responded once to the well wishes, but am sitting here waiting to leave for hosptial (noon for me). Yesterday was awful..the jitters got to me. Luckily I slept pretty good last night, but feel tired this morning. I am SO thirsty (I'm a water drinker) and of course all the food around is calling to me. I got out of bed with ease this morning, thinking I won;t be doing THAT for awhile, LOL! I'm trying to keep a very good, positive attitude about this. I have to have it done, this too shall pass, all the cliches are going through my mind.

Good wishes to all my sisters who are having surgery today. See you back here next week some time!

Hi to all of those other princesses that had surgery on the 12th--I survived!

The op was longer than they thought and I needed 2 units of blood because my counts were so low and my b/p was extremely low....my time in the recovery room was almost 5 hours---I just couldn't wake up.

And except for one aide on Sat who was so dumb she was annoying, my stay at the castle was nice--oh yeah, and the constant nausea, which kept me on clear liquids and kept me there an extra day.

Today (1 week already!) I had my first "outing" to the drs to have the staples removed and all looks well. I am only in mild pain at the incision, but big pain where the retractors held everything out of the way--but that is only when I move around, get up, etc. So as long as I sit still, I feel great! And yes, I already look at my SO with longing, so the desire is still there!

I hope you all had as easy a trip as I did!

Welcome back! Sorry you had a rough ride at the castle, but now it sounds as if you are sailing a little smoother now. Rest and enjoy down time as much as posible. You will be able to really enjoy Christmas
