Painful sex

Ladies. I had a TAH 12 weeks ago and it's still painful for me to have sex. Can anyone share their experiences with me . How long should I wait until I see my Dr to see if anythings wrong? At my 8 week check up he gave me the go ahead and said everything looked great.

I am sorry to hear that you are having issues. The first thing to remember is that full healing can take 6 months to a year.

So on one hand what you are feeling isn't unusual but it doesn't make it any less frustrating.

The initial advice I have is slow, easy and plenty of lubrication. You should find a position where you can control everything so that you can control things if there is pain. After a few times if things aren't feeling better you definitely should discuss it with your doctor.
