Virus in one of the helpful links
Ok now don't know how to really tell you all this but I got a virus going to http://myhyster.tripod.com/. I don't think it was caused by someone here but I wanted to warn you all that it is there. It is called J S Seeker and my Norton virus protection can't fix it. It did put it in quarantine so it at least stopped it. Wanted to let you know.

Virus in one of the helpful links
Thank you for the info.
I've notified the owner of that site and hope they can get the virus taken care of. ALthough hystersisters.com provides helpful resources and links we've gathered around the net, since we aren't responsible for their servers, we can not guarantee the resource.
As Toonces has explained in an FYI at the top of many of our forums, hystersisters.com server (which hosts the websites of hystersisters.com) is a Linux machine (unix based) and is not infected by PC viruses that are passed through email or sites.
Although we work hard to insure our members and visitors a safe visit to our website, in this day and time we must all exercise caution when we go to any site on the net....even the most reputable are vulnerable to net-terrorists and cyber-creeps.
Stay safe by using the methods that Criss (Toonces) suggests in her FYI and keep your Anti-Virus software up to date daily to protect your computer.
I hope your computer gets well and stays well! ((( Tracy )))

Hubby got rid of Virus
My husband got rid of the virus after software got it quarintined. I wasn't complaining about the virus, I know the chances I take going to unknown web sites. I just wanted to help the sisters avoid it if all possible. Not everyone has a techie for a husband and might not be able to get rid of it.
Thank you for advising the owner I'm sure someone hacked the site and put the virus there.

Virus in one of the helpful links
Tracy,
Thanks for the notice that my site contains a virus. I am taking the site down and moving it to a new server. I have had this problem before with the server that it sits on right now and I got rid of the virus before, but now it is back.
Thank you for letting me know that it is there.
