I registered because this seemed like a very in depth, informative list. I knew from past experience with canine epilepsy, that a support list can give you answers to questions you did not even know you'd have! I went ahead and became a paying member after being on here a week or so, because I could see this is a fabulous bunch of ladies and wanted to keep this list available to those who may not be able to afford to pay to join.

I'm very impressed with the sisterhood here and always feel very welcome. It is nice to be able to come to a place where you won't be judged and be able to draw upon such a vast amount of different experiences, in order to make informed decisions. This is a long term life changing event and friends/family will fade in their support with time, this list will not.

Thank you so much to all the ladies on this list.

This has been a support group for me. I have looked forward to reading the threads several times each day before and after my surgery. I learned so much from other people who addressed every imaginable issue regarding hysterectomy. By gaining so much information and emotional support, I didn't have the need to "unload" on family or friends. I have been able to keep a positive attitude and not dwell on myself when I'm with other people. I can't imagine going through pre and post op without such a vital support system. Thank you so much for being there!!!

I had so many mixed thoughts and emotions prior to my hysterectomy and I found great comfort and knowledge from the site. It has been such a livesaver both prior and post op as there is always someone who knows how you're feeling or can answer any questions you have. I also like to think that some of my input to threads has been of some assistance/comfort to others too. Thanks Heaps!
PS Keep up the humour girls - we all need it!

I registered because I needed a forum to help answer my questions and calm my fears. I don't know anyone locally in my situation (having a LAVH/BSO due to endo at my age). After surviving surgery and having a relatively easy recovery, I wanted to help those coming after me. I have truly benefitted from the support on this site. Thank You!

I registered because I felt very alone and scared in the days leading up to my surgery, and after lurking on this site for a while I realized that the women posting at Hystersisters had either "been there, done that" already or they were just as scared as I was because they were about to go through the same thing. No one in my life really understood my feelings, nor could they answer my questions. My surgeon has great technical skills but limited people skills, and sometimes she brushed off my questions. That never happens here, and not only do I always get answers to my questions, but the answers come from a group of strong, intelligent, funny, brave women who never cease to amaze me with their guts, common sense, and willingness to help others.

I tell every woman I know about the site, and many of them say "I wish I'd had something like that when I was going through it."

I registered beacause I like to have as much information as possible when facing a new situation. I started to get nervous before my surgery and I had questions that I thought were stupid. You know, silly things that I didn't thinkwere "normal" or that I felt comfortable asking anyone much less my doctor. I searched "hysterectomy" online and came across this website. It saved my sanity before, during and after surgery. I discovered my questions weren't so stupid or crazy and that I wasn't alone. Every stage of the way. AND helped my family cope and know what to expect.Love it!

I joined because I was scared of all the "unknowns" of having a Hysterectomy.I was able to get info and advice. And when my Gyn said I would have a TVH, I knew what that involved.

I registered because I wanted to learn as much as possible about the operation and Everything associated with it . I wanted to be able to use all the facilities available on hyster-sisters.
I'm a British ex-pat and where I'm based although the Drs are excellent , they don't share any info at all . I really can't imagine how I would have managed without this site .
Besides all the information , the esprit de corps buoyed me up and helped me survive !

love and peace
