Re: Nervous Nervous! Can't sleep!

Garden that's kinda cute. My uterus was the size of a 12 week pregnancy. My doc said he had to cut it in pieces just to get it out. I will keep you in my prayers tomorrow.

Re: Nervous Nervous! Can't sleep!

Hello,

Good luck on your surgery tomorrow. Mine is scheduled for Dec 13th. as of right now, I am calm, not sure if reality has hit yet. I will find out after my pre-op apt. Like you - mother nature may be visiting me next week during my surgery.
We will have to keep one another posted of our progress. You will be in my prayers.

Re: Nervous Nervous! Can't sleep!

I didn't sleep much before mine, either. What helped me was realizing that, until that point, I had been the only member of my immediate family who had NOT had some sort of major surgery (TAH and mastectomy for my mom, aortic root replacement for oldest brother, and bowel resection plus liver surgery for my older brother). Once I realized that a greater understanding of what they each went through was on the other side of the surgery, I got to sleep.

And when you get prepped, the folks are pretty nice. They deal with stressed out people all the time. They'll give you something to relax, and then the next SECOND, it will be over. Seriously, it will seem like that to you.
