1 year anniversary - lately I get real hot then cold but I still have ovaries

Well it's been a year since my hysterectomy. I'm doing great, but lately I get real hot then cold. I still have my ovaries so I don't think I'm pre-menopause. Hopefully I will get answers soon. I have to schedule my yearly check up.

Congrats on the anniversary!!! I've read that you can start getting symptoms as early as your 30s. Ugh!!! I'll try to find the articles on here where I saw it.

Well, I'm sorry but I don't know how to put the link on my post. I just went to "articles" then "menopause" "Perimenopause vs. Natural Menopause" and found a lot of information. Some of which left me more confused, so I'll be posting a question in a minute. Lol

Thanks. I'm 39, my mom started premenopausal in her late 40's.

Thank you.

Losing your ovaries in this surgery sends you into "surgical" menopause.
If you keep your ovaries, you will not go into surgical menopause, but you will still go through "natural" menopause.
I would get an appointment with your doc to have your hormones levels checked.
