Lupron shot tomorrow

I get my Lupron shot tomm. I think I am more nervous about the shot than the surgery. I don't really like shots.

Lupron shot tomorrow

Hey Paige,

I had to take Lupron shots for 6 mths in 1992. They are not fun. The menopause was horrible. But, I had a friend that took them for 6 mths. and she did pretty good.

Good luck.

Lupron shot tomorrow

How was your shot? I did Lupron for four months and it worked really well for me. Just remember, there is an estrogen spike that first week or so, your symptoms may be worse that first week ( I had my period and...oh boy!) My hot flashes didn't really kick in until about week 3 or 4 (second shot). I had monthly shots. They weren't too bad for me. Good luck to you and I hope you have a good experience!

Lupron shot tomorrow

The shot went well. I got the one time 3 month shot. I planned it so I wouldn't get the shot right before my period so I hope that helps. The only thing is my cheek hurts (yes that would be the lower cheek) where I got the shot.
I am hoping for the best, just some hot flashes or night sweats - with any luck I will have a mild trial run at menopause. I already have some night sweats with my periods because they are so screwed up so I figure it won't be that different.
I will have to see how I am in a few weeks.

Lupron shot tomorrow

Hi ept_0202,

I did (3) months of lupron shots to shrink my fibroids enough for a less invasive hyst. For me...lupron was a success. I did have hot flashes and night sweats and I just made it a lifestyle for awhile.

I had the same thing...the spot where I was given the shot(s) got a little sensitive. I can suggest a cold pack.

Sending best wishes~

Mary
