Feeling better after pre-op

Hi

I had my pre-op on Monday. I feel more relaxed(well until next week!!) For bowel prep, just have to do an enema. My surgery is on Wed. the 4th. On Sunday we are going to a buffet place for dinner. On Monday I'm going to eat soft/liquid for two days. I have to go in to my doc on Monday to have a pregnancy test--hospital requirement. Since not much has gone on and I'm bleeding like crazy right now, seems kind of silly but I understand.

Doc said he will do a bikini cut, take everything, look for endo and tack up my bladder; then he will fix the small rectocyle I have and tighten the wall of the vagina a little, so I shouldn't have another rectocele problem.

And the best part--I get a private room!! I was worried about that. Last time I had surgery--I had a room mate who talked and groaned(loud) in her sleep.

Now if I could just get my house together; I could relax!!
My wait is almost over.

Feeling better after pre-op

Hey there Dana

Your wait is just about over.
I was lucky enough to get a private room too. However, mine was right accross from the nursing station. And they never sleep. This is the main station for the whole floor. So you can just imagine the rest I got (ha!)
I must say though that I had the best bunch of Nurses one could ask for. Especially the one that got my hotflashes started before I even had surgery. Now he was something special

s, Dana!

So glad you'll be able to have a private room - that's nice! I had a private room, too, and I enjoyed it!

Don't stress out over the house - you don't want to exhaust yourself before you get to the hospital. It'll be all right.

You'll do great, and you'll look gorgeous in your new crown!

Remember to bring a small "tummy" pillow - or maybe they'll give you one like they gave me (for C-section moms). I love my tummy pillow still and I'm almost 8 months post-op! (I don't need it; I just like to hug it while I sleep! )

Hope you have an uneventful surgery and a wonderful, restful, complete recovery! Happy Thanksgiving!

~Sue
