Just frustrated...and going stir crazy! LOL

I was supposed to see my GYN for my 2 week checkup last Wednesday...Hubby and I planned to make a little date of it, so we headed out. We get there only to find out that he's not in, had an emergency of some sort. Of course I remarked that I hadn't been called and then I find that I'd not even been added to the list of patients that day (I know mistakes happen) so no wonder I didn't get a call. So I'm standing there being all bummed out and remarked that, "man I was really hoping to be able to be cleared for short drives into our local town (I live 30 min from the city and 12 from our little town). The poor dear looked up at me with this look and said, "um, he doesn't normally release patients to drive for 4-5 weeks". Seriously!?!? Talk about being bummed out! I rescheduled my appt for next Tuesday. 4-5 WEEKS!!!!! UGH!

I know many of you know nothing about me, but I am a SAHM of a 9 & 11 yr old that we homeschool. I love being active and am busy with coaching soccer, on the soccer board, running a small farm, training my colt, driving the kids to their activities including all sorts of summer activities at the library that are fun and educational, church, biking/walking with my husband almost daily, being outdoors with my kids, etc. I am going nuts not being able to do things...it's hard for me to remember not to do different things during my healing time, but I'm doing good. I actually do feel really great, but I also take plenty of rests throughout the day because I know I should. I try not to overdo it, but it's hard to remember to slow down. I've not been on pain meds since early Mon (5 days post op).

Anyways....just venting a bit I guess, lol!

Oh and I think I've got a yeast infection...in fact I'm almost positive since I've had three others this year already before surgery (contributed by the way all my insides were hanging/twisted/situated). I'm not supposed to be putting stuff 'in there' so what now?! And of course Murphy's Law has it happening when the docs office is closed and I can't outright call and ask what to do!

Re: Just frustrated...and going stir crazy! LOL

I had a TAH and was released to drive at 3 weeks, and did it make a great difference for my mood. I have been out and about and feel great. Today is 5 weeks and I feel like a real person again!!

I am so sorry about what happened for you. It is truly a bummer when you have your mind made up one way and things happen another way.

I was released to drive at two weeks, but didn't until five weeks and only because I had to go somewhere and my husband was at work. I had absolutely NO desire to go anywhere. I love to stay home ALL the time. Guess that just shows we are all different.

The nurse was like, "well you could get into an accident"...and I said, "um I could get into an accident as the passenger too"...poor girl...Hubby put his hand on my shoulder and steered me out of there, lol.
