Thank you now I feel relieved to know that someone else is experiencing the exact same.

Re: Professional hair color

At 8 weeks out, I went to get my second Brazilian blowout... Just so I wouldn't have to worry about my unruly hair during my post op anymore... It didn't take and I even went back a second time thinking it was the hairdressers application, but even after the second time the chemicals just had very little effect; however, i did get my grays covered up and that seems to have held up okay and I just yesterday (3 months post op) had a touch up on my roots with a toner for the whole head of hair. It looks great and took all color just fine. Seems ladies have trouble with the straightening or curling chemicals after post op though...?? Not sure of the difference.

Re: Professional hair color

Great news!! IamMimi...I had my YSH on 11/26/13 and there is not a straightening option that works. My head is cover with gray. I tried to semi-permanent and I didn't take. My daughter suggested bleach(Developer).I am going to try this and hopefully it works.

I have been a hairstylist for 33 years and as soon as you feel able to get to your stylist it is fine to get your hair colored. Now a perm is a different story. The anesthesia does affect the outcome of a perm for several months.
