meaning of "repair of bowel pouch"?

Hi,
Had a TAH-BSO 3 weeks ago and today received insurance explanation of benefits...in addition to the hysterectomy there is a bill for "repair of bowel pouch".
I did not have bowel problems and do not recall this being mentioned by my dr. whom I love. Of course, I will ask about it at my 6 week post op visit...but what is this and is it common to have this unexpectedly done during the surgery? Thanks for any information...you all are great!!!

Your Dr is the only one who can answer this question.
With that said, its a good chance that its a billing error and can be corrected with a simple phone call once you find out whether the procedure was actually done.
