I had my tvh on friday morning, everthing was on time. They gave me a choiceof doing a spinal in the back where you are dummed from waist down and then they do not have put the tube down the throut(sorry about spelling) and you will be asleep but only under enough for the surgery and then you will wake up and be wide awake, plus you will not feel any pain for 24 hrs and then it's just cramping. They also did a bladder repair.All I have used for pain so far is ib's. I feel GREAT.

That's the way I had it done when I had my surgery. No bladder repair though. It was just the best way to go I think. I got along just fine during recovery and was back at it after the 6 weeks checkup.

Good for you! I also had the spinal before being put to sleep, but I'm still on pain meds. I'm glad it's going so well for you.
