10 days post op with pelvic floor throbbing

I had a vaginal hysterectomy along with pelvic floor repair, a urinary sling put in and rectocele repair 10 days ago. I feel like I have been healing up nicely but today I have had throbbing pretty painful spasms down near the pelvic floor. Has anyone had experience with this? I had a check up 2 days ago and dr. said everything was healing nicely. I don't feel like this is an infection but I'm not sure what would cause this and how to make it better. thank you in advance.

Re: 10 days post op with pelvic floor throbbing

you are hitting the point in time I remember being the most painful. Rectocele repair is very painful and the exam might have irritated tender tissues. Hang in there!

Re: 10 days post op with pelvic floor throbbing

Hi,
I'm new one here just 10 days after surgery (da Vinci, one ovary left, urinary sling) and i'm so happy to come across this forum. Women to women!
I'v been into homeopathy and natural healing my whole life and it's paying off in this situation . I must say I'm healing pretty well with the only pain for the first 3 days but mostly caused by gasses. I'm taking easy, with hubby helping me in and out of the bed not to strain my abbs. I'm laying most of the time and walking outside in the yard for 10 min every couple of hours. I spend 10 min on the sun every day without any sun protection. Only next week I plan to walk a bit more but not for miles. Just short walks around the block. Also, instead of any antibiotics I'v been using colloidal silver and my outer incisions are closing nicely and chlorella tablets for all the minerals and vitamins that our bodies now need. I'm saying all this not to brag about myself but it could help some other sister in pain to go over it.
