If I can do it, so can you

Here's best wishes to all of you visiting the castle this week.

I had my TVH, TVT, A&P repairs and vaginal vault suspension last Monday, 9/15. As prepared and ready as I was, my daughter ended up sobbing the night before, which made me feel very guilty and unnerved the next morning at the hospital. I ended up being very scared at the hospital and almost backed out -- the Dr said I could back out that day, but that I had already gone through the hardest part of the experience by just making it to the hospital that morning. That made sense to me -- I DID NOT want to go through the weeks of waiting and turmoil again. So, before I knew it, I was whisked away to the OR.

End result.....I found out that the hardest part of all of this was the waiting. My stay in the hospital and recovery at home has been very uneventfull.
Nonetheless -- I already feel like a new woman -- no pressure and no prolapse. I did not realize what a drain the prolapse was doing to my sense of femininity.

So -- for all of you ladys-in-waiting who are getting stressed or scared -- just remember, if I can do it, so can you. I think I was the biggest chicken they've seen, and I did just fine.

Here's lots of sent your way.

Just remember to keep that in your heart, and you soon will be a

If I can do it, so can you

Thank you so much. It is currently 2 a.m. here and I am up and worrying (and watching the Roseann marathon on NickatNite). Just got my surgery date and I am already a mess. I needed to hear someone who has been through it all say that it will be alright. I feel like an idiot being so worried. My family doesn't seem the least bit concerned. Mom will be out of town on vacation, kids seem to be wrapped up in their own lives now that they've moved out, mother-in-law just said "let me know when you're home". DH is worrying silently I know, but I hate for him to shoulder this all himself. Geez, listen to me whine! This is just sooo not me *LOL* Thanks for the reassurance. It really does help on a late night/early morning here in FL.
