Another Question....

Big Decision=Lots of questions!!!

My latest...Those of you who have kept your ovaries(or just one)...Did it continue to function, or did you experience hormone deficiency? I'm keeping my left ovary if I do this, and I've heard that it doesn't always work after the hysterectomy...Just looking for some info and reassurance....

I had a TAH nearly 6 months ago, and kept my ovaries. Everything appears to be working just fine! Had a hormone level check a few months ago and all was well!
FSH stands for Follicle Stimulating Hormone (I think!)

Yes, the FSH is the follicle stimulating hormone. As you enter perimenopause, your FSH level goes up to indicating that your ovaries are starting to slow down. The number rises as the ovaries stop producing hormones and you enter menopause.
