When will surgery date be confirmed?

I was told by Dr that surgery would be Mon 11/21, probably 8am. He said I would get a call from his office a few days before surgery to confirm.

DH says Dr's office calls once the hospital calls them. DH has had several surgeries (it's my first) and he expected the call yesterday.

Hope it's not rescheduled ...How late did you get the final confirmation for your surgery date and time??

My dr doesnt know the time til the day before. It really can make waiting and planning difficult but, it is what it is. GOOD LUCK!

I would call your doctor's office to see what is going on. Have you gotten your pre-op instructions yet so you know what and when to stop eating, bowel cleanse, or other special instructions? These are important things to nail down. The 21st is obviously fast approaching, so I would call.

I had to phone the afternoon of the last business day before surgery (mine was on monday, so had to phone friday) and it was confirmed then. Hope you have confirmation now and it all goes well

My surgery date was confirmed on Nov. 8th for this coming Tuesday at 7:30. The doctor has to book a surgery room so they now for sure what time and such. My pre op is on Monday.
