Another important note: Be a part of our circle of support! Please plan to return to the pre-op forum to answer questions for our pre-op sisters! The pre-op gals need your experience to help them as they plan for their upcoming surgery.

I am sending you and best wishes for an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery as you head off to the hospital.

I will be joining you in the Post Op Forum as your Sunshine Sister in the weekly Recovery Progress thread for members having surgery between February 3 - 9. I will be there to offer support and encouragement on your recovery journey. Look for it at the top of the Post-Op Forum after your surgery.

A few things I found very helpful for my initial recovery:
· Stool softener
· Gas X
· Moist wipes rather than toilet tissue
· Heating pad
· Pillow pet / Body pillow
· Chapstick
· Notepad and pen (for keeping track of medications)

Deep breaths, you can do this! The nerves can be really overwhelming. Try to keep busy, clean the house (you won’t be doing it again for a while!), cook and freeze meals, get out of the house and enjoy your family. Take quiet time for yourself, enjoy a bath (you won’t be able to do that for a while either) and stock up on movies and books for your recovery.

Remember rule number 1 is to "Pamper the Princess"!

Thank you all! And to all my other Sisters you are in my prayers also.

I haven't been nervous at all up until last night when I was tossing and turning in bed thinking of what I still need to do before Wednesday...I don't have to do it but I was gone all last week working both jobs and feel like I haven't done anything at home. Just trying to keep a clear head and waiting for the nurse to call for the surgery time!

Thank you!! HysterSisters has been a savoir! I am a nervous wreck but not nearly as much as I'd been not reading others experiences and pre-op/post-op advice, etc. Big Hugs to all us Feb 5th Princess's, we can make it and be much better for doing it! I will add my personal experience when I'm up to it and hope it can help some ladies down the road as so many ladies stories have helped me.
