dr's appointment today

he said i have endo and/or adeno and have two options:

1.lupron and surgery
2. second opinion(well, fourth opinion technically) that will probably lead to lupron and surgery.

at least he changed my pain killers.

i have to come back in three weeks after i fill out all this paper work to get the shot for free and maybe get on medicaid.

thought you'd like to know.

Hi VelmaKelly,

Thanks for the update on your doctor appointment today. So, does this mean you are going to have Lupron shots? And then surgery - a hyst or just removal of endo and adhesions?

Keep us posted on your plans and how you are doing. Sending extra hugs your way. Sure hope the new pain killer is working for you.

if i have the surgery he's removing my endo and my adhesions.

First I have to find out i can pay for the shot and the surgery. he suggested i apply for medicaid which will pay for the shot and the surgery. Also if i seek another opinion it will be paid for, that is, if i'm approved for medicaid. He also says proof that i applied for medicaid will help me get the shot for free from the drug company that makes it.

so, it's a lupron shot, wait three months, then co2 laser surgery for endo and adhesions OR fourth opinion who will probably say the same thing since none of the hormones worked. There is this doctor ive been trying to get into see for months now and he is just now starting to take a limited number of patients so I may get lucky this time
the new pain killers haven't worked so far. I feel drugged but the pain is still there. I had some darvocet and at least it took the edge off it so i might stick with it(it's got a refill on it).
oh, the pain killer he gave me was tramadol. I had some tylox left over from when i had a tooth pulled and i asked for that but he said i have to get it from my family doc because he doesn't write for tylox. and i just may do that since it helped the best. i understand i can't be on it very long though since it is addictive.
can't win for losing and i feel a hundred years old.

Hi Velma,
Thanks for clarifying your plans.

I'm sorry you are still in such pain. Darvocet and a heating pad were my coping mechanisms prior to my hyst. Not a good long term solution, for sure.

I hope the Medicaid comes through for you. Hang in there.
