Blisters on IV sites 4 weeks after surgery

I have blisters on the locations where I had IVs on my left hand. I also had an IV on my right hand but no blister there. I have had them for a couple weeks now. They look like fluid filled bumps. Anyone else have something similar? I wonder what it could be?

I'm not sure what it could be so long. After. Earlier on, I'd wonder about infection. Probably your Dr should take a look at it to be sure. Let us know what you find out.

Re: Blisters on IV sites 4 weeks after surgery

I had a reaction to the Tagaderm - the clear waterproof bandages that they use. I had blisters around the edges and a google search found I wasn't alone. But I had these blisters the day after surgery, not 4 weeks later. I removed the bandages and the blisters popped and they've been healing ever since. I'm 4 weeks post-op and the red marks are finally fading. The nurse said I could put neosporin on it to help it heal. I didn't bother. It wasn't painful at all.
