I'm getting so upset

I may be on the market for a new dr. I went in and she said that my problems were due to my hormone levels during ovulation. She said surgical removal may be an option but first she wanted to try progesterone. I started Camilla on Friday and she said if I started ovulating I would need to come in because that would mean it wasn't going to work for me. Yesterday I called her and told her that I was having bad side effects, nausea hot flashes cramping. She said to give it time and they will go away. Last night about 8 I started ovulating. THe pain was severe like always so I took 4 ib profane. Then came the vomiting. Right now I am in so much pain I can't get out of bed, throwing up, headache, hot flashes, chest pain. So I called and told her and they decided I should keep taking it but take vicodin too. HELLO I can't even hold IB profane down. I am so tired of this I just wish they would take them out.

Re: I'm getting so upset

Yes new dr. I understand them wanting to try new things but honestly we know our bodies and if they were really caring at all about us and our health both physical and mental they would understand that yes it may be our hormones but for a lot of us..ME..It is sever enough to effect our day to day life. Please go see another dr.
Dont know where you are but if its anywhere near houston go to the womens hospital. They saved my life.
Im 27 and going in on monday. I wish you the best and again, if their main concern isnt your total health.....move on. This is seriouse. It is your life.

Re: I'm getting so upset

A second opinion can make all the difference. Convince you to stay or move on to a new doc.

Talk to your family and friends and see if someone can refer you to someone.

Make a list of questions and keep it with you from now until your issues are resolved. I use a calender and just jot notes down...keep it in my purse...cuz over time it all seems to become overwhelming.

Getting a second opinion was the BEST decision I was ever advised. In the past year I have several complications, several victories and as my journey continues I can say I trust my doctor 100%. He treats me as if I was his daughter. He understands and would never subject me to any pain which was not necessary.

Hang in there...hope is on the horizon. Breathe and wake up fresh and fight another day.....

Please keep some notes.

Kris

Re: I'm getting so upset

Yikes, that's rough. Can you at least get a referral to an endocrinologist?

I'm looking for a new GP right now, it's not easy to find a good one.

Re: I'm getting so upset

Today was my dr.'s appt. I told her how I reacted to the medication and she asked how I felt about surgery. I told her at this point I would rip out my ovaries if I could. Its all happening so fast. she said the surgery will be this week or next .They are doing llaprascopy taking my uterus and ovaries and leaving my cervix. I so happy but scared at the same time.
