Continuous BC pills and periods
I'm scheduled for TAH on 12/18 because of multiple fibroids and heavy bleeding that was continuous from July 27 to Mid-October when I was placed on continuous twice a day birth control pills. The last few days I've had severe cramping from belly button down to my knees and then I'll experience a "gusher" that last about an hour, and then I'm done, just light discharge after that. Last night the pain and subsequent gush woke me up and it took four hours to get the pain under control so that I could go back to sleep (advil/heating pad/pacing). Is this my body's way of trying to have a normal period? or is this just "normal" breakthrough bleeding from going continuous with the BCPs? I certainly hope that this pain and gush doesn't continue on a nightly basis...
I also have been having a lot of bladder hesitancy but also frequent urgency. The GYN had said that the cervix is pressing into the bladder and maybe kinking it off. Any suggestions for dealing with a touchy bladder?? Thanks for any advice.
