3 days post-op TAH

Surgery was 5/13 at 7:30 am. I came home yesterday and am doing well. Most pain comes from all the wonderful gas pains. Food does not taste good, but I am making myself eat some. So far vaginalbleeding is minimal. First follow up with Dr. is 5/20. Hubby is impatiently waiting 8 weeks. He is hoping I am one of those women who experience a surge index drive. Honestly, so am I. It's sucked because of pain for so long!

Congratulations ona successful surgery and welcome home!! It's good that you're making yourself eat, your body needs the nourishment to heal. Glad that the bleeding is minimal. You're husband will be fine. He's waited this long, he can wait eight more weeks Be careful about wishful for that surge. It started fir me day two post op and it absolutely drove me crazy Especially when it's during recovery and you can't do anything about it.
Make sure to drink plenty of water, eat plenty of fiber, walk and rest, rest, rest

Rest, rest, rest and then rest some more! The more you rest, drink water, walk the better you will begin to feel -- but don't forget those stool softeners and GasX! And eat lots of low gas food and high fiber food (yeah, kind of a contradiction!) Try to remain patient and positive and always compare yourself to these first days and never to where you want or expect to be in your recovery --- and visit hystersisters lots because it helps give your many hours of nothing a little more purpose Hugs and prayers for a continued successful and uneventful recovery. (FYI, I was cleared at 6 weeks to begin easing back into all activities, so maybe you won't have to wait til 8!)

I'm about a month post -op TAH and do wish I could engage in "intimate affairs" but no way jose am I going to risk it.

I go for my 6 weeks on 5/31 and hope to find out whats going on up in there and if I'm healed.

So, my libido is strong and I hope to be cleared at 6 weeks!
