3 months post op and in pain

Hi
I have a sharp pain like a stitch in my right side, I went to the Dr last Wed and she said I have an enlarged ovary, and the rest and it will get better, but its not. Im so worried that it might be something more, has anyone had anything similar? should I be worried?

Hi Maree

Sorry that you have had a setback :-(

Has the Dr given you any reason why the ovary is enlarged or done an ultra sound to rule out an ovarian cyst?

Hugs

{{{hugs}}} Maree.

Did your dr. do an ultrasound or just an exam? With my ovarian cysts I would have sharp pains that could last several days, and up to a week if the cyst was leaking. It would range from just being uncomfortable to having to lie curled up on my side util the pain meds kicked in.

{{{hugs}}} I hope you feel better soon. Call your dr. again if you are concerned, tho. That's what they are there for!

I'm glad you are going to call your dr. tomorrow!

For my cysts, the only treatments I had were pain meds, rest, and I was put on birth control pills, which did help for a long time. Both of my ovaries had cysts on them, and that's why I had them removed when I had the hysterectomy.
