Only 2 more days...

I can't believe Friday is my surgery. It seems like I have been waiting forever and now it is almost here. I still don't think it has sank in yet. I'm sure it will hit me tomorrow when the bowel prep begins! I have to be at the hospital at 0530...I never get up that early for anything!! I think I am more worried about the IV and not getting sick than the actual surgery. And the BM issues afterwards, hope I don't have too many problems in that department! I bought plenty of high fiber munchies for when I get home.

My DH has taken next week off to take care of me, and my DDs are old enough to be very helpful (I hope). I have my bag packed and pillow ready for the trip home. My Dr said I shouldn't have to stay more than one night as long as everything goes well. I have a positive attitude and believe it will go well.

I'm looking forward to being pain and period free! I'm sending cyberhugs to all the other sisters in waiting. The waiting has truly been the worst! I can't wait to see everyone over on the post op boards.

I have to send a HUGE THANK YOU to all the women on this board. It has truly helped keep me sane through this process. I have found such helpful information and I wouldn't be as positive and prepared without you.

The few days leading up to the op I was ok. The morning OF the surgery, still okay until about an hour before. That's when the nerves kicked in FULL blast. But, I mentioned it to a nurse and before I knew it she was injecting something lovely in to my arm and I felt great! LOL.
