Brain Fog?

Hi Ladies: the new and wonderful world of recovering keeps hitting me with wonderful new symptoms - lol. So tonight I got hit with some foggy brain and dizziness. I'm actually having to concentrate pretty hard on typing this. My head feels really fuzzy. I am 2.5 weeks post op TAH and on day 3 of some heavy duty antibiotics for a horrible UTI. Anyone else had the cotton wool brain?

Re: Brain Fog?

I think "spongebrain" is not unusual with recovery. I had it pretty bad for a while. I forgot common words, in the middle of sentences. I would have to describe "thingies" and my DH would give me the word. I would walk into rooms and forget why. It does get better. After about a month those instances got rare.

Re: Brain Fog?

Yes, I have been having foggy brain. I am swapping things that happen one day for another. Really strange. I think it is the pain meds.

Re: Brain Fog?

Wow, I thought I was the only one. I too will go into a room and totally forget what I came into the room for. I also had the dizzy spells from time to time. Glad to know I am not alone. I hope this will pass soon.

Re: Brain Fog?

I have been wondering what was up? I am going to school and taking a class online right now. It is a bit hard to concentrate and I have to really push myself to sit down to study....even though I am at home all day with nothing to do. Brain is just blah. Hoping this will pass because I return to work on 3/25th.
