Was diagnosed with adenomyosis!

I have the same symptoms going on and found out I have adenomyosis. I also thought that my period was not that bad until 3 months ago I bled more than ever and finally went to a doctor. I have had excessive bleeding for years. THe MRI showed I had adenomysis. I have anemia from my period. Kind of scared about surgery at the end of this month. Hoping I feel much better after it.

I had Adenomyosis for years and stalled on surgery. It progressively got worse as the years rolled by, eventually making my quality of life zilch.I am 8 weeks post op as so very happy I had the surgery and wished I had done it sooner. As recovery is a slow process with many restrictions and ups and downs, it's absolutely was easier than the bleeding and cramping I was constantly in before surgery. I'm not saying recovery is easy, the first 2 weeks were horrible for me, but I made it through. After that as the post op weeks rolled by ,recovery was more of an annoyance than anything else. I was impatient to get back to normal life, but my doctor had restrictions on me so I had to follow them to avoid future surgeries. Recovery is a slow process, don't rush it, as you only have one chance to heal properly.

I was wondering how long it is after surgery before you can drive? I am getting my uterus removed but not my ovaries I hope this helps.

I had an ultrasound over a year ago and my dr. said everything looked normal. Still had irregular and heavy bleeding. I tried the pill, and a d&c which showed polyps. But still had the bleeding issues. I finally decided on the hysterectomy since nothing seemed to help. I had mine almost 5 weeks ago and my pathology report and surgeon both said I had adenomyosis. My symptoms would probably have kept getting worse if I did nothing, so I am so glad I did.

I was driving at 1 week with DvH (Davinci) and docs approval...

I am glad that you are feeling better rufus82. I will be having my surgery on June 25th. I'm kinda nervous but I feel that God is with as he his will of
us. I hope to report that when I have the surgery that I will can give others words of encouragement just like all of my "hyster sisters have.

Mine surgery is 2 days after that on June 29th.
