Anyone else get a yeast infection so soon after?

had my abdominal hyster on march 19, already have a good yeast infection going from the antibiotics i was on (iv) and are still on (oral for a few more days). now i have a pinkish discharge which i am sure is the yeast infection---right???? anyone else get a yeast infection so soon after?

i didnt get one right after my surgery but i did get quite a few. i never had a pinkish discharge though. you should call the dr and make and appt so he can look and see if thats what it is. i hope you feel better soon!

I did get an yeast infection after my surgery. I was on Cipro for 24 days. But, an yeast infection doesn't cause a pink discharge. The pink discharge is probably for the surgery.

I agree with Teresa, the pink discharge is probably from the surgery, and I also got two yeast infections, back to back, in the first 5 or 6 weeks after my surgery (before any fooling around), probably from the antibiotics. There are a lot of "good bacteria" products on the market now, I used one and it cleared right up.

I had one 2 weeks post op and had to use the suppositories-Yuck!! I was having bad odor and brownish/pinkish discharge. But the discharge lightened up but continued for a little while. It is probably from the stitches.Cleared it up right away and haven't had any more problem.

thanks--i thought my doc said i could have a slightly discolored discharge from the yeast, i just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem---thank you! took diflucan and will again in a week, but i am still on the antibiotics so it is a war in there!!!!!!!
