Canceling my surgery & changing surgeons

Thank goodness you found someone who you are comfortable with. It just goes to show that listening to your inner voice is a good idea. If you aren't comfortable with a doctor, it probably won't work. I have had some bad experiences with docs who I fired for their attitude or lack of caring. You need to be comfortable with your doctor and it sounds like you found the right one. Glad to see he is getting the other specialists in for you. Best of luck to you. Sending lots of hugs.

I agree, I should've fired them all right from the get go!! I don't know why I felt so powerless, I am not usually like that. I think because I was emotional, and vulnerable I allowed myself to be a victim. Until I took control over my healthcare and all the decisions did I really feel like this is what is supposed to happen to me. I took the long way, but I learned a lot on the way!

Good for you for finding the doctor that is right for you! You sound so much better and in control of the situation! The confidence that you have in your new doctor will help you SO much in this process. I'm so proud of you for sticking it out and going with your instincts. It's your body and your life, so I'm glad you didn't get "bullied" into going with the other surgeon.
I also switched doctors and I'm so glad I did. I'm on the recovery side of things now, doing great and I'll continue to watch your progress.
