And away we go.........

Scheduled my date today....
And suddenly all the problems seemed not so bad....
My doctor reassures me-- my husband reassures me....
But it still feels like SUDDENLY it's really moving towards something so big and final.....:alarm:

And I gotta wonder---Did it seem to move this quick for anyone else?

I found out about the tumor on Thursday
Today I scheduled for the 24th.

Part of me feels swept up---FEAR NOT!!! I asked questions out the wazoo today!--
But the other part is also saying: Great! Let's get goin' if we're gonna' do this.......

It will be a LAH for a tumor that is just causing a whole lot of problems. It's in a REALLY bad spot I guess......

So.....Any advice my dear sisters?

Even when you've had years to ponder this I think when you finally make the decision there is still that question "is this the only way?".

You've asked your pages of questions and have scheduled your surgery.

If you truly think this is moving too fast, you have every right to go for a second or third or fourth, or more, if necessary, opinion. Make sure YOU are comfortable with the decision, it really doesn't matter if your DR, or your DH, or your next door neighbor or best friend thinks this is the only answer. What matters is what YOU believe.

Now, keeping your mind from thinking about this 24/7 is the hard part! Usually ladies have lists and lists of things that they need to get done in advance and that keeps them busy!

Best wishes!

Hi, I agree with Mary Lou that if you're not really sure and ready for this surgery, another opinion or so might be a help. If you are ready, your wait won't be so long that it'll be a hugh problem. I had to wait about a month and was on an emotional roller coaster from time to time. I'm almost 8 months post op now and I'm so glad that it's over and I don't have to worry about it any more.
best wishes.
