Incision pain-8 weeks post op

I have been feeling much better up until yesterday. I had a TAH/BSO 8 weeks ago today. Yesterday I started hurting around my incision. It feel like muscle pain sort of but also kinda stabbing pains. I haven't called my dr. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this happen after the pain had been gone?

I'm 7.5 weeks post op, and I started experiencing that today as well. I attributed it to the inner stitches.

Incision pain-8 weeks post op

Had the same thing for a few days. The only way I could explain it to my DH was that I felt like my stomach was "plugged in". The pain was quick, stabbing and felt like an electric shock. It was a come and go situation for a few days and then I did not have it anymore. I did not call the dr. as my sister in law had warned me that she had a similiar situation. Still at almost 3 months post op, every now and then I will get a small twinge if I happen to move the wrong way or if I have been too active.

I'm thinking that it could possibly from either the sensations from the nerves healing (my docs said that as they healed I may feeling strange tingly, sharp sensations around incision at times), ongoing internal healing and/or from overdoing it. If it continues, I'd suggest calling your doc.

Incision pain-8 weeks post op

I am nearly six weeks post op and I am not in pain as such, but if anything, I feel a bit more uncomfortable around the incision site than I was. I have put it down to being more mobile and therefore feeling more. I have no discomfort when I sit still, but when I get up, especially after sitting for a long time, I get a sort of bruised, pulled muscle feeling between belly button and pubic bone and also some twingeing where I assume ovaries used to be. My scar seems to have closed ok but turned from red to purple colour and has not seemed to scab over as some people have said it does. Maybe I have showered too much, as I have shower every day. It seems ok though and seems quite dry. Anybody else in same boat?
