Nervous...6 week post op soon

I had SAH on June 10th and my six week post op appt is next week. Not sure what to expect. I must admit I am a little nervous. I know they will do a vaginal exam but I wonder if it will be painful. What should I expect and any advice on questions to ask. Making my list of concerns now to take with me.

I had a TAH-BSO on June 10th. I've already seen my Dr. for the final exam before returning to work. My Dr. did a vaginal exam,and It wasn't painful at all to me. It also helped that he was very gentel. Good luck on your 6 week post-op appt. Take care

I had my first post op at 9 days and the Dr. did a vaginal exam. It didn't hurt at all and she was easy. Good luck with your appt.!

I too was quite nervous about my 6 wk check up, especially because of my vaginal cuff. But it went just fine. I asked to be check for any weak spots. As she (doc) checked I felt some presure and it was a bit uncofortable. Everything turned out to be okay and I was cleared. As long as you followed all your directions after your surgery and didn't stray from them then everything should be okay. Hope this helped.

Went for my 6 week post op yesterday. All the doctor does is look inside you to see how you have healed. Nothing inserted into you, only the speculum.

Mild discomfort was the worst of it for me. He said I was having a bad reaction to some of the stitches. He must have cleaned it up or something and I feel sooooooo much better ever since.

Thanks so much. I am feeling much better about post op visit since reading everyone's posts. I just really didn't know what to expect.

I was going to ask the same question....My next appointment is at 7 weeks
