TAH Muscle spasms in abdominal area

Every time I wake up I experience intense 'spasms, in my abdominal area. Had a vertical incision which is eight and a half inches long. I can't say the spasms hurt but are very intense and I am very worried that this could cause damage to internal areas that are healing as it feels like I am stretching my tummy involuntary.

I also have these when I wake , it's like I'm holding my tummy in even when I'm asleep !! Doctor said nothing to worry about but I didn't have vertical incision so best check its not nerve issues and call your dr , take care

Hmm, I had weird abdominal spasms too in the morning, particularly if I stretched my legs out straight - I always thought it was just blood flow kicking around the body as I woke and started to move. It certainly was a bizarre feeling, though like you say not painful. I still get tiny ones now at week 13. I never asked the doc about it so can't really help there but can sympathise! x

Having ultrasound this morning to check out continual pain on lower pelvic area so that may highlight something. Seeing dr tomorrow. He is aware but didn't know what caused it so referred for scan.
