I did something really stupid

I vacuumed i know, I know, but I just couldn't stand the dog fur anymore. I asked my 13 yr old to do it and she did a really crappy job, so I started to do it myself. It wasn't a full fledged vacuum, it was one of those broom stick things for hard wood floors. Ugh, I am so stupid!!! I hope I didn't do any damage. i will be laying down for the rest of the day/night.

I don't know why I felt the need to confess...I guess to warn those of you who want to vacuum....DON'T DO IT!

Re: I did something really stupid

I had some bad pains when I twisted to reach for a glass of water earlier in my recovery. I really thought I did real internal damage, I thought I tore stitches apart or something. After a few days, it got better. Hang in there. Just rest!

Re: I did something really stupid

I am from BC but not from the island. I'm from Vancouver ...
Chic ...the pain can come and go without you doing anything...Even now after 5 months I have sharp pains sometimes, but I know I am well recovered.. I did a lot of work too because I had my TAH on Dec 1st and in a couple of weeks after I started preparing food for Christmas and putting up ornaments etc...On new years I danced ...but not moved my belly too much.. :P So, don't be very worried ... pain comes and goes...but will decrease gradually... All you need patience and try to do only what you feel comfortable with ... Moving is good for recovery.
