Our son lives in Ottawa and we are coming up for the marathon. Hubby is running the full, just the half for me this time and I'm still building
up my miles carefully

I looooooove running in Ottawa, there is nothing flat anywhere near we live so running/cycling there is such a treat!

We have never been to the West Coast,,,really want to get out there!

Re the vacuuming.......it was the only thing I avoided for a while, I even started run/walking at 4 weeks but still couldn't vacuum,,,,,,,sometimes it'sweird how our bodies are??

Re: I did something really stupid

Ok, i just did a Google search about hysterectomy post op and vacuuming. There were a lot of posts that said they vacuumed at 10 days post op. I am going to give it another week before i try and tackle the carpet. Our dog is shedding like crazy right now

Re: I did something really stupid

Well, I have so many hairballs all over the house that I named them and joke that they are just a few more hairy kids to feed. My husband promises to vacuum, but...yeah...tomorrow. And tomorrow. And tomorrow. I just finally stopped asking. Why bother? As soon as I started picking up the kitchen, he stopped doing everything. I got so desperate that I paid my kid brother to poop scoop the yard the other day. I paid him $35 from my husband's weekly lunch money account. It's just so ridiculous to have to ask and plead and beg when he knows I can't vacuum and pick up the yard for a little while yet...so, I've hired a helper on his dime. He wasn't pleased, but when I informed him that next week I was paying my brother to vacuum, mow the lawn, and rake, he actually left me $30 and said he'd be working late all week. Ha! I bet he will Seriously, though...how hard is it to take a few minutes and take care of these things for me every day or two? I normally do it all the time, plus work 50-60 hours/week AND attend school FT. Grrrr...

Re: I did something really stupid

Good idea piper! I have been paying my daughter to do chores, but she does such a crappy job! That's why i ended up vacuuming yesterday! She literally vacuumed one area and that's it. Nothing irks me like someone doing a half *** job. I know husband doesnt want to do certain things but i am not going to stop "reminding" him! After 20 yrs of marriage, you would think he could take over for a week!

Buttercream....I hope things are getting better for you! That is one chore that I always do because I can't stand the dog hair either. I wish that my kids would realize how painful it is and just get off their butts and help out! Take care and hopefully nothing inside did happen
Hugs,
Jennifer
